Hey, you got a minute?

I'm shocked !!!

It's funny how the mindset of a lot of people in this society works.

Considering the crisis we are going through, I expected more of us to jump off the bridge and try something new, but the reality seems different than what I expected.

"You must be crazy !!" you would say.

I don't think so.

Since all this hell begin, up to 11% of businesses in Quebec have been over the edge and planning to close (if not closed already), or seeking financial help from the gov.

What could possibly be a temporary solution?

What could be a great alternative for those who are not afraid to pivot for a while or start something completely new?

Here are 5 questions to ask ourselves if we are thinking about pivoting:

1) What is the Target Market (Market Research) :

When the market changes, the spending habits change and people may increase their spending on essential purchases.

What could we possibly sell that is essential at the moment? What are the population's needs at the moment? Does that mean you have to find a new target market? who and how would be your ideal customer?

2) Should I make A Pivot Plan:

A Pivot plan could be a new Business Plan, a new Career Plan or just an adjustment( depending on your type of business and many other factors).

Make sure that you don't make the same kind of mistake from the past again and look for sustainability.

Whether we are looking to open a business or looking for a job we have to make sure that the company we are targeting is sustainable.

Don't forget to

communicate to people who will suffer the consequences of your pivot(employees, old boss, customers, family, etc...

3) Should I just look for a new job and try to suck it up (as if we had a choice)

What company is hiring? what is the easiest job to do at the moment? What job is on-demand? Is the company I am applying for a great opportunity to start a new career? Can I still have a business on the side while working(for those of you who want to have a second stream of income)

Can I study in a new field while working for that company?

Does this company care about its employee's mental health (burn out is happening more often than we think)

4) Should I create more content or look for more or a new audience?

Some of us are still satisfied with what we have at the moment whether it's a business or a job.

But we still want to do more with the time we have.

We want to strive for more.

Unless we live under a rock we know that social media content is booming more than ever despite being oversaturated.

If your business is online you know you need social media as a pillar for basic marketing(especially on a budget).

Don't be afraid to try it out.

You never know!

5) Can I just Be creative, versatile?

What if I want both? What if I want a job and a business and investments on the side?

What if I want to sell my arts on the side while still working a 9 to 5?

Bonus question

6) What about my mental health?

What if I just want to do what I feel is good for me at the moment?

What if I just want to rest while the world is moving so fast because it stresses me out?

Hey dear !!! Do you know what the beauty of it is? It's that nothing is stopping you!!!

Go for it! Walk, run, jump or rest!

But do as you feel or want !!!

Don't ignore your inner voice!!
